After changes to the design of the Whistler Celebration Plaza, VANOC said that it will not only host daily medal ceremonies, but also nightly concerts and the closing ceremony for the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games.
“We are very pleased,” said Whistler Mayor Ken Melamed. “I expect the response in Whistler will be very positive. We are looking forward to welcoming the world.”
