Wednesday Apr 08, EMBERS is hosting an information session for community members interested in becoming self-employed. This session will help you find out how the affordable Build A Business entrepreneurship training course can assist you with market research, financial management, operations planning and marketing.

Build a Business entrepreneurial course is an affordable training program that assists individuals to get from business idea to business launch or to improve their existing business. This part-time course consists of five modules:

1. An Introduction to the Entrepreneurial Mind

2. Market research

3. Operations

4. Financial skills

5. Marketing

In addition to course materials and classroom time, each participant may apply to receive one-on-one business coaching.

Build a Business is offered three times each year. Upcoming course dates are:

    * May 4, 2009 - Application deadline April 17, 2009
    * September 14, 2009 - Application deadline August 28, 2009


The first Built a Business Information Session will start at 3 PM.
