In collaboration with Other Sights for Artists’ Projects, the Langara College Centre for Art in Public Spaces will present a Fall program of free lectures in consideration of Vancouver’s 125th anniversary. Each month, a guest speaker will address how public art provides alternative representations of urban spaces.

Marking the shift from artworks that reflect upon physical locations to those that create situations for encounter and dispersal. Artists, curators and theorists will lead discussions and debate about the relationship between art, audience and place.
